Description

The Masonic Lodge at 8 Abbey Row in Kelso is a mid-19th century building that features two storeys and a basement. It has three bays, with a door located to the right that is framed by a pilastered door-piece. Above this door, there is a blind panel on the first floor. The exterior is constructed of stugged ashlar with polished dressings, and it includes a cornice and a blocking course. The building has a tall slated roof with straight skews and brick stacks. In front of the lodge, there is a fore-court with a dwarf wall, although the railings have been removed except for those at the boundary with No 10 Abbey Row.
