Description
3 and 5 Woodmarket in Kelso is a building from the mid-18th century that was altered in the early 19th century. It is four storeys tall and features a continuous pilastered shop front at the ground floor, which flanks a central door. The outer bays on the first floor have Venetian windows with moulded semi-circular heads. The central window on the first floor and the windows on the second floor have moulded surrounds with swept lugged cills, while the second floor windows have lugs at all four corners. The building is harled and has rusticated angle quoins, a moulded eaves course, and a bell-cast slated roof with brick stacks at the flanks.
