Description
3 and 4 The Square in Kelso is a mid-18th century building that was later extended at the rear and refronted around 1890. It stands three stories high with a three-bay shop on the ground floor. The first floor features a mullioned tripartite window, while the second floor has a bipartite window topped with a gablet. The exterior is rendered, and the windows have raised chamfered margins. The roof is slated and has a piended design sloping to the west and south. The front facing Abbey Row is also three stories tall, with two bays, harled walls, and ashlar detailing at the angles and window margins. There is a door located on the right side of the ground floor.
