Description
The Lodge at Castle House in Dunoon is a mid-19th century building designed in a simplified Gothick style. It is a single-storey structure made of painted stugged ashlar, topped with a gabled slate roof that is piended at one end. The building features a two-sided bay window with a crenellated wall head and a parapet that includes an apex gablet above the bay window. High chimneys adorned with incised cruciform ornaments add to its character. The property is also marked by four crenellated gate piers, which are connected by curved screen walls that have a splayed coping.
