Description

Earlier to mid 19th century. 2-storey double-fronted detached house with single storey rear wing. Coursed whinstone rubble principal (E) elevation with sandstone dressings; otherwise harled. Droved quoins and long and short surrounds to openings to principal elevation; projecting cills to windows.

E (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: symmetrical arrangement. Central entrance with rectangular fanlight and panelled timber door ; flanking windows to each storey and one above.

N ELEVATION: single rendered architraved window to each storey to right of main body of house. Single storey wing to right has large inserted entrance to centre and 2 large inserted windows to right; single architraved window to outer left.

Mainly 12-pane timber sash and case windows. Grey slate piended roofs; single harled wallhead stack to N, S and W sides of main body of house; round cans.

INTERIOR: not inspected (1998).
