Description

Early 19th century reworked later 19th century. 2-storey 3-bay gabled house with garages and U-plan outbuildings attached to rear. Cement rendered with ashlar margins and cills.

SE (BONGATE) ELEVATION: bays grouped towards centre, regular fenestration. Glazed panels to door at centre deep-set in ornate doorpiece with moulded and panelled brackets supporting cornice and applied parapet; flanked by windows with similar bracketed cornices. Plain windows above. SW ELEVATION: gabled, window to right at 1st floor; tiny window in gablehead to left of gablehead stack.

NE ELEVATION: blank gable with single storey rubble range to NW.

NW ELEVATION: rear with attached outbuildings.

Timber pivot plate glass windows. Grey slate roof; brick stacks. GATEPIERS, GATES AND RAILINGS; low wall to Bongate with ashlar saddlebak coping and tapering octagonal gatepiers at centre and to left; decorative cast-iron arrowhead railings and gates.
