Description

Alexander Gilkie, 1811, alterations to steeple and west front, 'Mr Elliot' 1836; enlarged 1902. West Front: gabled with pair of tall round-headed windows flanking the tower which projects at the centre. The tower is of 4 stages, the lowest stage contains the pedimented entrance door, the blind niche at the second stage has a scrolled pediment whilst above the cornice is a clock at the 3rd stage. At the

uppermost stage the square tower has chamfered angles with roundheaded belfry windows, again with scrolled pediments, and an ogival stone cap surmounted by a weathervane. Stugged ashlar with polished margins. The flanks of the church are rendered with round-headed windows. To the South and facing East is the wing of 1902, gabled with roundheaded windows and small square projecting porch to right. Ashlar with rendered flanks. Interior: gallery removed 1902.
