Description
4 Boundaries in Jedburgh is an early 19th-century, two-storey house with a single-storey appearance from the road and a basement. The building is constructed of rendered rubble with ashlar margins and cills.
The east elevation, facing the road, features a single-storey design with the ground level falling to the north. At the center, there is a door with a three-pane fanlight and a doorcase that has stop-chamfered arrises. On either side of the door, there are small vesica-shaped windows with horizontal cills.
The south elevation is gabled and includes a pair of tiny oculi in the gablehead, flanking the stack.
The west elevation reveals the two-storey structure above a vaulted basement, with the rubble exposed. There is a glazed door at the center, though the steps are missing, and a blind window is situated above it. Flanking windows are present on each floor.
The house features fixed timber windows with interlocking astragals and stained glass on the road side, while the rear has four-pane timber sash and case windows. The roof is covered with grey slates and has a coped ashlar stack.
