Description
Seedhill, Anchor Buildings, located at Anchor Mills in Paisley, is a group of four 4-storey, 5-bay tenements built in 1880. They are situated on a curving site that flanks the approach to Anchor Mills. The front of the buildings is made of ashlar stone, while the sides and rear are constructed from brick.
Each tenement features windows arranged in a pattern of 2-1-1-2, with the centre bay being blind except at the ground level. Above the ground floor, there are rope-moulded roundels inscribed with "Anchor Buildings 1880".
The rear of the buildings is whitewashed brick, with single-light windows except for bipartite stair lights. The sides are harled. There is a single-storey outshot on the left side. The roofs are covered with slate, and there are ashlar ridge stacks. The windows are sash and case with a 4-pane glazing pattern. The property is enclosed by wrought-iron gates and railings on low brick walls.
