Description
Abbey Bridge, located on Bridge Street in Paisley, was built between 1878 and 1879 and widened in 1939. It is a two-span cast-iron bridge featuring ornamental facing panels and railings. The bridge has semi-circular ashlar cutwaters that are raised to serve as pedestals for lamp standards. There are similar pedestals at both ends of each parapet.
