Description
3 Braehead in Lochwinnoch is a house built around 1844. It is a two-storey, three-bay structure with later asymmetrical recessed wings on either side. The exterior features painted ashlar stone and decorative dressings. The central bay has a Roman Doric columned entrance, which is slightly advanced compared to the rest of the façade. To the left, there is a corniced window set within an architrave, while the right side features a canted window. On the first floor, there are three windows, mostly 12-pane sashes. The building has an eaves course, a cornice, and a blocking course, with end stacks and a piended slate roof. The left wing has a bipartite window, and the right wing has a single window in its gable. Additionally, there is a retaining wall with slender, corniced octagonal gatepiers.
