Description
12 New Street in Paisley is an earlier 19th-century, two-storey, four-bay dwelling. The building features painted droved ashlar with contrasting dressings. On the left side, there is an elliptically arched pend. The central doorpiece is pilastered and is flanked by three remaining bays, sharing a cornice with a pilastered enlarged window on the right. To the left, there is an architraved window with a block pediment. The windows have 12-pane glazing, and there are four 4-pane sashes on the first floor. The rear of the building is constructed from rubble with margins. Attached to the single-storey part of the dwelling, which is now used for storage, is a two-storey brick wing with a forestair. The roofs are slate, featuring a skew and a corniced stack on the left.
