85 Maxwellton Road, Paisley

85 Maxwellton Road in Paisley is a house built around 1820. It is a two-storey, two-bay structure with single-storey, one-bay wings. The front is finished in painted render that mimics ashlar stone, while the sides and rear are made of rubble with a base course. The centre block features pilaster strips at the corners, and there is an architraved doorpiece with a cornice on the left side. To the right, there are sash windows at the ground and first floors, as well as in the wings, all with cills and 12-pane glazing. The two-storey block has an eaves cornice and a blocking course. The roof is slate, with straight skews and corniced painted ashlar stacks at the ends. The screens have cornice and blocking courses, with pitched slate roofs behind them. There is also a quadrant wall attached to the left screen that connects to No 83.
