Description

Dated 1880. Tall 2-storey and attic, 12-bay, rectangular-plan tenement with stone dormers. Squared and snecked chlorite-slate rubble with stugged dressings. Some voussoired segmental-headed windows. Stop-chamfered arrises.

SE (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: near symmetrical. Bays 2, 7 and 11 gabled and slightly advanced with decoratively-bracketed canopy over panelled timber door and plate glass fanlight, window to 1st floor giving way to moulded date panel and segmental-headed window in gablehead. Pend entrance only to bay 9 and regular fenestration to remaining bays.

SW AND NE ELEVATIONS: blank gabled elevations.

NW (REAR) ELEVATION: variety of elements to rear elevation including 3 piend-roofed stair towers breaking eaves, and stone dormer windows.

Largely 4-pane glazing pattern in timber sash and case windows. Grey slates. Coped ashlar stacks with full-complement of cans, many polygonal. Overhanging eaves with plain bargeboarding.

BOUNDARY WALL: low saddleback-coped rubble boundary wall.
