Viewfield, 45 Dunkeld Street, Aberfeldy

Viewfield is a house located at 45 Dunkeld Street in Aberfeldy, dating from around 1840. It is a two-storey and attic structure with a rectangular plan and three bays. The exterior is made of squared and coursed chlorite slate rubble, featuring stone cills and dormers.

The north elevation, which is the entrance side, is symmetrical. It has a modern uPVC door with a two-part fanlight at the center on the ground floor, flanked by windows in the outer bays. The first floor has regular fenestration, and there are three dormer windows that break the eaves above.

The east elevation is gabled and has two windows on both the ground and first floors, although the windows on the right side are blocked. Prospect House, which is listed separately, is slightly set back on the outer right.

The house features timber sash and case windows with 8- and 12-pane glazing patterns. The roof is covered with graded grey slates, and there are coped ashlar stacks, one of which has a satellite dish. The eaves overhang with plain bargeboarding adds to the architectural detail.
