Description

Dated 1881. 2-storey and attic, 4-bay (above ground) tenement with shop at ground and stone dormer windows, in irregular terrace to NE. Squared and snecked chlorite-slate rubble with ashlar margins.

SE (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: symmetrical. Door to centre at ground with centre-door shop to each flanking bay (all doors 2-leaf panelled timber), all under corniced fascia. 4 windows to 1st floor with moulded date panel to centre above, 4 dormer windows breaking eaves.

SW ELEVATION: gabled elevation with window to outer left at ground and 1st floor.

NW (REAR) ELEVATION: variety of elements including slightly lower gabled bay projecting at centre with timber forestair to small corrugated porch with 2 tiny windows, dormer window breaking eaves on return to right and further dormer to set-back face at outer right.

Horizontal 3-pane, and 4-pane glazing patterns in timber sash and case windows. Cavetto-coped ashlar stacks with full-complement of cans, many polygonal. Overhanging eaves with plain bargeboarding. Cast-iron downpipes and guttering, and decorative rainwater hopper and fixings.
