War Memorial, Atholl Road, Pitlochry

The War Memorial on Atholl Road in Pitlochry was built in 1922 and later inscribed with a memorial around 1945. It is a three-stage Celtic Cross War Memorial made of bull-faced Aberdeen granite and stands approximately 20 feet high. The memorial features a reducing three-stepped base and a plinth with carved segmental-headed panels that display the roll of honour for World War I. The cross base includes the roll of honour for World War II and is topped with a long-shafted cross.

On the northeast elevation facing Atholl Street, there is an emblem of crossed rifles, an anchor, and a wreath at the base of the plinth. This leads to the roll of honour on each face, with the third stage featuring a cross base inscribed with the words "TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN MEMORY OF THE MEN OF THIS PARISH WHO FELL IN THE WAR." The shaft of the memorial is adorned with a sword and an entwined banner dated '1914' and '1919', and it is surmounted by a cross carved with a Celtic design.

Surrounding the memorial is a garden that includes Empire-style cast-iron supports for timber bench seats.
