Baldinny Farmhouse, Hallyburton Estate

Baldinny Farmhouse, located on the Hallyburton Estate, is likely from the early 19th century and has undergone some alterations. It is a tall single-storey house with an attic, featuring a rectangular plan. There is a lower single-storey wing with an attic that projects at the southeast, along with a smaller single-storey projection at the northwest. This building serves as an interesting estate ancillary related to a former sawmill and includes dormer gablets and a picturesque porch with a finial and gable.

The principal entrance is on the southwest elevation of the southeast wing, where a porch is positioned to the left of centre. It has a broad boarded timber door beneath a 4-pane fanlight. To the outer right, there is a dormer gable, and to the outer left, a taller gabled bay with a blocked first-floor window. The rear elevation features two closely aligned dormer gablets.

The windows have a 4-pane glazing pattern in timber sash and case, with some top-opening windows. The roof is covered with small grey slates, and there are coped ashlar and brick stacks with some cans. The eaves are overhanging, with plain bargeboards and decorative cast iron finials.
