Description

House of Coul is a mid to late 18th century building that likely includes some masonry from a 17th century house. The main part of the house is two stories high with three windows and a central chimney gable. It has single-storey, one-window symmetrical wings that are harled with margins and skew puts. Inside, there is some original joinery. A semi-octagonal porch and other alterations were made around 1840. The outer windows of the central block were changed to two-light windows in 1936, and further alterations were made to the back wing and other areas by Stewart Todd around 1956.
