Description
Cloan House is a two-storey building with three windows, originally dated 1800, as indicated by the date on the first-floor window lintel at the center, although the lower part is older. The house features wings and has a Scots baronial style with a three-storey and attic west tower that includes a tall conical roofed circular northeast tower and a porch, both added according to designs by Andrew Heiton in 1866. There is also a three-storey and attic east tower with angle turrets, which was raised over the original east wing. Additional alterations and modifications were made by Harry Ramsay Taylor between 1904 and 1905. The exterior is harled with ashlar dressings.
