Description
Foswell is a late 18th-century building that features a long, two-storey structure made of rubble with droved dressings and margins. It has twin projecting gables, each with one window, located one bay from either end. The north front has a central porch that was added in 1929, which includes a doorpiece made partly of moulded stones from the demolition of Hamilton Palace. The building is constructed with whinstone and has ashlar dressings on the first floor, along with crowsteps added to the projecting gables. The builder was Wm. Gordon from Auchterarder, and there have been some interior alterations by H. Ramsay Taylor.
