Description

The burial enclosure of Admiral John Knight, located at Jordanstone House, dates from around 1788. It is a straightforward structure built from rubble, featuring a low entry and a broad deep lintel. This lintel was replaced in 1889 by Colonel J. Keppel Knight, who added an inscription. Inside, there is a simple tomb slab that bears the inscription 'ADMIRAL JOHN KNIGHT/BORN 1710 DIED 1788'.
