Description

Jordanstone House is a late 18th century building featuring a 2-storey and basement original centre block. The exterior is harled with margins and has a pedimented centre bay that includes three windows. In 1890, John Murray Robertson reconstructed the building, adding a pedimented wing with tripartite windows. A corresponding wing was added in 1929 by Sir R.S. Lorimer and Matthew, creating a symmetrical south frontage. The interior work by Lorimer is of high quality. The building suffered fire damage in 1964 but has been carefully restored.
