Description
St John's Roman Catholic Church Presbytery, located on Melville Street in Perth, was designed by Dr. Reginald Fairlie in 1932 and reflects a late 17th century Scots Renaissance style. The building is two stories tall and features five windows, constructed from rock-faced snecked rubble with ashlar dressings and margins. The central entrance has an architraved doorpiece adorned with a pulvinated frieze, and there is a tripartite window above it on the first floor. The roof is piended and slated, and there are two large chimney stacks at the gables. A later harled addition is present on the north gable.
