6, 8 County Place, Perth

6 and 8 County Place in Perth is an early 19th century, three-storey and attic tenement block featuring a three-bay design. The ground floor has a painted and pilastered timber shop front. The building is constructed of painted ashlar with a cill course at the first floor and raised cills at the second floor. A central doorway on the ground floor provides access to the upper floors and is flanked by two shop fronts with plate glass windows. There are later cast-iron balconies on both the front and rear elevations at the first floor. The building also has three canted dormers on both the front and rear. The shopfronts were reconstructed in 2008-2009.

The principal elevation features double-glazed timber sash and case windows, installed in 2008, which include trickle vents. The roof is slated, and there are brick end stacks with clay cans, along with cast-iron rainwater goods.

Inside, the building has been completely re-cast to create additional residential units, also during 2008-2009. The main close stair features stone treads with timber stringers.
