Description

Mid to later 19th century. 2-storey and attic, 3-bay flatted dwelling with shops at ground and stone dormers, in irregular terrace to W. Squared and snecked chlorite-slate rubble with stugged ashlar dressings.

S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: symmetrical. Panelled timber door with 3-part fanlight to centre at ground; shop to right with traditional display windows, cast-iron column and in-canted part-glazed timber door and fanlight with boarded soffit and mosaic patterned doorstep to outer right; modern shop to left. 3 windows to 1st floor and 2 dormer windows breaking eaves over outer bays, modern rooflight to centre.

E (CHAPEL STREET) ELEVATION: gabled elevation with 8-pane fixed window to ground left, further window to each floor above.

Lying 12-pane glazing pattern in timber sash and case windows. Coped ashlar stacks with cans. Overhanging eaves with plain bargeboarding, and pierced decorative bargeboarding to dormer windows.
