Description

Late 19th century. 2-storey and attic, 4-bay (above ground) small tenement with shop at ground, on ground rising steeply to S. Squared and snecked chlorite-slate rubble with slab lintels and painted ashlar. Base course, ground floor cornice and part 1st floor cill course. Architraved, lugged and segmental-headed openings. Corbel; stone and timber mullions.

W (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION): slightly advanced ashlar bay to outer right with corniced and keystoned doorpiece, panelled timber door and plate glass fanlight at ground, cill course above giving way to single window with glazed oculus in shaped corniced gable above. 3 bays to left with centre door shop at ground with stone pilasters flanking broad modern door and 2-part display windows in flanking bays. 3 windows to 1st floor and 2 stone dormers above with rooflight to centre.

S (OLD CRIEFF ROAD) ELEVATION: 2 segmental-headed windows at ground flanking base of corbelled canted 4-light oriel window at 1st floor, 3-part dormer window above.

6-pane glazing pattern to upper over 2-pane lower sashes and 4-pane glazing pattern, all in timber sash and case windows; multi-pane glazing pattern to oriel and dormer to S. Grey slates. Coped ashlar stacks with cans. Overhanging eaves with plain bargeboarding.
