Description
Earlier to mid 19th century. 2-storey and attic, 3-bay, rectangular-plan houses and small tenements forming small courtyard (see Notes). Chlorite-slate rubble with large quoins, projecting cills and slab lintels.
E (CHAPEL STREET) ELEVATION: 2 adjacent timber doors to centre and left at ground, window to outer left and further window to right; 3 regularly-disposed windows to 1st floor and further dormer windows breaking eaves over outer bays.
N (PEND) ELEVATION: gabled elevation with small window to left in gablehead.
W (REAR/COURTYARD) ELEVATION: part-glazed timber door to right at ground and window to left, further window abutting eaves to centre at 1st floor.
N (ENTRANCE/COURTYARD) ELEVATION: modern door to centre and boarded timber door to left, windows to outer bays at each floor, those to 1st floor breaking eaves into dormerheads.
E (ENTRANCE/COURTYARD) ELEVATION: timber door to left at ground, window to each floor at right, that to 1st floor breaking eaves into dormerhead.
W (REAR) ELEVATION: 4 irregular windows to ground, canted outer left angle and further window in gablehead to outer right abutting rear of house to S.
Some 4-pane and plate glass glazing patterns in timber sash and case windows, and top-opening timber windows. Modern glazing to ground right and 1st floor E at Chapel Street. Graded grey slates. Coped squared rubble stacks. Cast-iron downpipes with decorative rainwater hoppers, guttering and fixings to E at Chapel Street.
