Mill, Lingmira Farm

Lingmira Farm's former mill, dated somewhat unclear to 1876, is a single-storey building with a rectangular plan. It features a square-headed entrance with a timber lintel located at the northeast gabled end, above which is a date stone. The northwest elevation has a cast-iron undershot wheel, although the paddles are missing, and it is set within an ashlar-lined lade. There is a small window on the southwest elevation, which is otherwise blank and gabled. The mill is constructed from roughly coursed rubble and has a turf-covered roof made of Caithness slabs. A modern timber shed extends from the eastern corner of the building.

Inside, the mill has been gutted and is currently used as a storage barn. The interior displays exposed rafters and battens, and there is a centrally located, timber-lined rectangular area that has been blocked off. This area was once the exit point for the main drive shaft that connected the water wheel to the mill workings.
