Description
Braidenhill Farmhouse is a later 18th century, two-storey, two-bay farmhouse with a single-storey wing at the front, which may have originally been part of the steading. The building is constructed of random sandstone rubble and features a concrete tile roof that is not in keeping with its character. The farmhouse has top-opening windows that are also out of character, crowstepped gables with beak skewputts, and coped end stacks with thackstanes.
On the front elevation, there is a central porch with a swept roof, and the single-storey wing is set forward to the left. The rear elevation has two windows on both the ground and first floors, along with a flat-roofed addition on the left return gable and a modern glazed addition on the right return. There is also a single-storey, slate-roofed brick outhouse that is set at an angle to the right. The interior has not been seen.
