Description
Sunnyside Station, built in 1888 by contractors Messrs Hugh Symington & Son, is a single-storey station building located on the south side of the railway line. The structure is constructed of red brick, accented with white brick and stone dressings, and features timber construction on the platform. It has nine irregular bays and is supported by cast-iron columns that have acanthus leaf capitals and quatre-foil spandrels, along with a glazed awning over the platform. The main roof is pitched and covered with slate, featuring a corniced wallhead and gable stacks.
