Description
The Railway Viaduct on Centenary Avenue in Coatdyke was built between 1860 and 1863. It features nine deep segmental arches, with one arch positioned on a high bank to the east. The viaduct crosses Centenary Avenue and the western corner of Centenary Park. It is constructed from bull-faced sandstone with battered piers and voussoirs. The polished ashlar impost courses and wallhead band courses are located below a bull-faced parapet that includes railings. Additionally, there are circular iron tie-plates present.
