Description

This is a group of twelve cottages, known as the Twelve Apostles, at Catacol, Arran. The cottages date to the 18th century and are a single storey with attics. They have gabled frontages, with whitewashed and harled walls and a ridged slate roof. The windows have stone frames and are painted in various colours. Doorways are topped with simple, pedimented stone hoods. The statutory address covers cottages number 1 to 12, along with the front garden walls.
