Description
The Monument to Dr. Robert Simpson, located in the cemetery in West Kilbride, was erected in 1877 by John Fullerton of Overton. It honors Dr. Simpson, known as "The Restorer of Grecian Geometry," who lived from 1687 to 1768. This monument is an interesting example of Victorian architecture featuring Egyptian style decoration and serves as a notable landmark in the area.
