This building, located at 73 Main Street and 1 Hunterston Road, is likely from the early 19th century, with a later 19th century extension added to the rear. It is a three-storey and attic, three-bay former inn situated on a sloping site at a prominent corner. The main elevation faces Main Street, while the west elevation looks onto Hunterston Road. The building features a distinctive rounded corner with upswept eaves cornice. The exterior is finished with smooth painted render and shallow raised margins. It has piended attic dormers adorned with cast iron finials and decorative balconettes, along with some arched openings on the ground floor. A stone stair on the north elevation leads to an opening on the first floor. The windows are predominantly plate glass timber sash and case, although they were boarded up in 2006. The building has broad gable stacks and raised skews, topped with grey slates, and includes cast iron rainwater goods.

Inside, the original room layout remains intact in the earlier part of the building, featuring some simple cornicing, while the rear extension has been extensively modernised.
