Description
Barking House is a mid-19th century single storey and attic building designed for barking. It has a rectangular plan and is constructed from grey and red rubble with a slate roof. Currently, the doors and windows are missing, and there are end stacks.
On the west elevation, there is a forestair leading to a door at the center, with a piend-roofed dormer head breaking through the eaves and a door located to the left. The south gable is blank. The east elevation features a door to the right and a rooflight. The north gable has a window in the attic on the right side.
Inside, there are remains of a cobbled ground floor with a truncated iron pump shaft. The first floor has been removed, but the boarded coomb ceiling is intact at the north end.
