Description

Later 19th century. Single storey and attic, 3-bay, L-plan classical house. Coursed ashlar to front with rusticated quoins, rubble stone to sides and rear, ashlar dressings. Base course, eaves band and cornice to front.

E (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: symmetrical. Central pedimented doorpiece with sculpture in tympanum supported by consoles. Tripartite windows flanking with lugged heads, mullions and panels beneath cills. Small round arched dormer breaking pitch above doorway to centre, canted piend roofed dormers flanking.

N ELEVATION: blank gable end.

S ELEVATION: gable end, window to attic storey with ashlar dressing.

W ELEVATION: gable end to left with later 2-storey flat roof addition. Single storey flat roof addition to right in re-entrant angle.

Modern windows. Grey slates, skews, stone gable head stack to W gable, later brick stacks to N and S gable and breaking ridge to W.

INTERIOR: not seen, 1996.

BOUNDARY WALL: low rubble stone and coping wall to front. Later walls to sides and rear.
