Description

The Ardchoille Hotel, located on Ardchoille Lane in Stevenston, dates from around 1840. It features a limewashed stucco exterior and stands two storeys high on a raised basement. The facade is divided into two sections by three flat panelled pilasters that extend the full height of the building. There are four sash windows and an Ionic columned porch that is accessed by a flight of steps. To the extreme right, there is a later one-storey addition that includes a canted bay window with a parapet above and a terminal urn finial. The roof is piended and covered with slate.
