Description
This building, located at 8 Station Road in Portknockie, dates from around 1910 and is a single-storey house with an attic, featuring three bays. It is constructed of rubble with contrasting painted concrete dressings. The entrance is centrally located and has a hoodmould, with a panelled door that includes a cushioned cross-centre rail. On either side of the entrance are shallow, chamfered segmental-headed bipartite windows. The outer bays feature canted wallhead dormers, while the centre has a gabled dormer with shaped bargeboards. The windows include both 2-pane and 4-pane glazing. The house has coped end stacks and a slate roof that is adorned with a decorative red tiled ridge and shaped finials at the peaks of the dormers.
