Description

This is a two-storey, three-bay house located at 4 Station Road in Portknockie, built around 1910. The building is constructed of rubble with contrasting painted joints at the front and contrasting painted concrete dressings. The entrance, which has a cornice, is in the center and is flanked by canted projecting windows that extend to the full height of the building, serving as wallhead dormers. A gabled dormer in the center breaks the wallhead. The windows feature modern two-pane glazing. The house has coped end stacks and slate roofs, which are adorned with red pottery ridge tiles and finials at the peaks of the outer dormers. It also retains original cast-iron rainwater goods with decorative scroll brackets.
