Description
Deanshaugh House in Elgin dates from around 1810 and is a two-storey, three-bay house featuring a central door that is accessed by a flight of steps leading to a raised basement. The exterior is harled with painted margins and includes a band course. On the west side, there is a bowed bay window with 16-pane sash windows, and a blind window is located in the basement. The front windows have 12-pane sashes with blind boxes. The house has deep tooled ashlar eaves and a piended slate roof. At the rear, there are various two-storey wings. Additionally, there is an outbuilding that includes a pigeon loft with flight holes.
