Woolmill House, Knockando

Woolmill House in Knockando is a two-storey, three-bay house built in 1896, featuring a symmetrical rectangular plan with a single-storey wing and a lean-to on the northwest side. The walls are rendered, and there are stacks on the roof. The house has a pitched slate roof, and modern roof ventilators are installed on the main structure.

The central doorway on the northeast elevation is flanked by windows, with the wing located at the far right, which also has a window. Decorative bargeboards adorn the timber gabled dormers that break the eaves in the outer bays, and there is a centrally placed rooflight on the wing. The rear (southwest) side has various openings. The house features coped raised skews and coped gable apex stacks with squat cans, along with a coped gable apex stack on the wing. The entrance includes a timber four-panelled door with a letterbox fanlight, and the windows are modern top-hung timber designs.
