Description
Chapel House is a Roman Catholic church and presbytery house dated 1862, located in Tombae. Originally a presbytery, it replaced an earlier building constructed in the north portion of the church between 1843 and 1844. The house is a simple single-storey structure with an attic, and three bays facing west. It is harled with tooled ashlar dressings. The front features a central door and three first-floor windows breaking the wallhead in gablets, each with pronounced skewputts and 12-pane glazing. The roof is slate, with coped end stacks. A single-storey extension was later added to the rear, with a swept roof. A rubble garden wall is present, continuous with the church enclosure wall.
