Description
This is a late 18th-century rubble bridge crossing the River Livet, near Tomnavoulin. The bridge has a slightly hump-backed segmental arch constructed of dressed rubble, with a roughly dressed cope to the parapet. It features splayed approaches terminating in pilasters. The approximate span is 55 feet. The construction coincided with the creation of a road for carriages through Glenlivet to Tomintoul, commissioned by the Duke of Gordon in 1794. The bridge is now bypassed.
