Description
The property comprises a former Church of Scotland manse and its associated steading, dating from around 1825. The manse is a two-storey, three-bay house facing east, with a two-storey, two-bay wing to the rear forming an L-shaped plan. The exterior is harled (roughcast plaster) with margins of tooled pink granite. The main entrance is centrally located, featuring a panelled door and a narrow fanlight with decorative glazing. A later canted bay window has been added to the right-hand side; it contains 12-pane windows. The roof is slate-covered, with coped end stacks.
The steading is a single-storey, simple L-plan range constructed of harled rubble. It originally contained a gighouse, stable, and byre, and now has a Tomintoul slate roof.
The church, Auchbreck Church, was built in 1825, and incorporates later additions on the site of an earlier ‘Protestant meeting house.’
