Description
The Bridge of Tombreckachie is an early 19th-century rubble bridge spanning the Burn of Tervie. It is a single-span structure incorporating a segmental arch built with rubble, with the arch springing from tooled ashlar abutments. Pilaster strip buttresses flank the arch ring and extend upwards to serve as terminal parapet piers, each topped with a squat cushion finial. The approximate span is 30 feet. This bridge is characteristic of those built on the Gordon estate, notably due to the presence of the cushion end finials. The bridge's listing category was changed from B to C(S) on 9 November 1987.
