Ivy Bank, North Street, Bishopmill, Elgin

Ivy Bank is a large, late 18th-century house located on North Street in Bishopmill, Elgin. It is two stories tall with a dormerless attic and features a prominent three-bay façade. The central door is framed by a later square stone porch. The building is constructed of coursed rubble with tooled dressings and has raised margins around the angles and windows.

To the west, there is a single-storey wing added around 1930, which has a piended roof and 2-pane glazing. At the rear, there is a service wing. The house has a moulded eaves course, straight skews, end stacks, and a slate roof.

Surrounding the property are rubble garden walls and retaining walls topped with dressed stone copes and steps. The entrance features later 19th-century square ashlar gatepiers with chamfered angles and moulded pyramidal caps.
