Description

Bellevue is a large house located on Church Street in Cromarty, dating from the late 18th or early 19th century. It features a basement and three storeys, with dormerheads and a five-bay façade that includes a central door. The building is constructed from cherry pointed coursed rubble, with smooth rusticated quoins and ashlar margins and dressings. The roofs are piended slate, and there are flanking waisted chimneys on the central block.

A later 19th-century square projecting porch is situated at the front, accessible by a flight of steps that oversails the basement. The flanking wings have long ground floor windows and shorter first-floor windows, along with three flat-roofed dormerheads on the central block. The property features modern metal glazing throughout.

In addition, there are ashlar gate piers topped with banded ball finials and iron gates, as well as a rubble garden wall with a coping. The side gate piers at the southeast are square and have moulded copes.
