Description

The Retreat is an early 18th century L-shaped house that has two storeys and an attic. It features a two-bay gable with a door and a wing facing the street. The entrance is located at the re-entrant southeast angle. The exterior is finished with harled walls and chamfered ashlar margins. The house has a steeply pitched slate roof with crowsteps, a moulded eaves course, roll moulded chimney copes, and segmental headed dormers.
