Description
The Grant Arms Hotel, located at 42 High Street in Fochabers, is a two-storey, three-bay hotel built in the later 19th century. The structure features rubble walls with tooled ashlar dressings and has a return elevation to Westmorland Street. The main entrance is a centrally placed door with a cornice above it. The building has a regular arrangement of windows, including two canted dormers. There is a deep bandcourse separating the ground and first floors, and the windows are fitted with two- and four-pane glazing. The hotel is topped with slate roofs and has decorative cast-iron rainwater goods, along with coped end stacks.
